Handmade Soap

Soap has been made and used by humans for millennia. It is used in a variety of cleansing and lubricating products. It usually used for washing, bathing, and other types of housekeeping. Handmade soap differs from industrially made soap in that an excess of fat is used (this excess fat is called "superfatting"). Superfatted soap is more skin-friendly than one without extra fat, although it can leave a "greasy" feel. Most handmade soaps are also made with natural ingredients. Soaps come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and fragrances.
